What interests me the most about biology is learning to understand how all the species came to be and somehow coexist. What is it that makes certain species persist and others go forever lost to history? And lastly, how can I impact the outcome? My aim is therefore to work and make an impact within the conservation community. Together with Karoline Montero Araya and the Municipality of Norrköping we conducted our bachelor thesis on amphibians native to Östergötland: Occurrence of Great Crested Newt, Triturus cristatus, and Smooth Newt, Lissotriton vulgaris, in relation to pond quality and surrounding landscape.

My journey has somewhat started with butterflies, spending the past two years going on trips funded by stipends and both attending and organizing workshops on the topic. Next up is a master’s in Ecology at LiU. Although my span of interests is wide and I'm excited to see where I'll land.
