Call for papers: Insect conservation in dynamic landscapes, deadline 31 January 2027

Aglais io

Markus Franzén and Victor Johansson at Linköping University invite contributions to “Insect conservation in dynamic landscapes”, a Collection in the Journal of Insect Conservation. Submissions are open now and deadline is 31 January 2027.

How should insect conservation respond when land use, climate and habitats are changing? The Collection welcomes research on how these changes affect insect populations and communities, and how the findings can inform conservation decisions.

We welcome empirical, theoretical and methodological studies. Topics include metapopulation persistence, connectivity and habitat quality, climate-driven range shifts, restoration and community recovery, and the management of disturbance and succession. Contributions on conservation in human-modified landscapes and projections under different management and climate scenarios are also encouraged.

Please submit as soon as your manuscript is ready. Use the journal’s submission system and select “Insect conservation in dynamic landscapes”. All submissions undergo the journal’s standard peer review, and the Editors-in-Chief make the final decisions on manuscripts.
